The Central Campus of University of Education, Winneba was set ablaze on Thursday night by Maestros Bessa-Simons and Teddy Osei of Osibisa Fame with the mindblowing Osibisa Band during the maiden edition of Sound Flames.
The show started with students from the Music Department charging the atmosphere with some highlife songs. That was something to write home about because, it seemed that tutorials given them at lectures had payed off.
The audience cheered on uncontrollably as the Legendary of Osibisa Fame mounted stage. Some had put on their dancing shoes and couldn’t resist tracks like ‘Odo Yewu’, ‘Welcome Home’, ‘Fire’ and many more. It wasn’t surprising to see students react that way because greater percentage were music students who really understood what was transpiring.
Sound Flames just got hotter even at its maiden stage only to leave audience thinking about what may happen next as the event took place every fortnight.
You can’t afford to miss the second show on the 16th of March, 2017 with Reggae Rocker, Shasha Marley; same venue but with an experience of a unique touch of music. Come and let’s rock and roll.
