Poster boy, Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to take up an acting role in an upcoming TV series alongside Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie.
The 32-year-old is one of the few faces that will be making camera appearance in a TV series about Syrian refugees.
“We will begin filming in the first week of April, the series is about the plight of a refugee family and what they go through,” Eyup Dirlik, director of the series, told Turkish media. “There will be appearances from actors and actresses from all over the world including Cristiano Ronaldo, Angelina Jolie and Nancy Ajram.”
The Euro 2016 winner has addressed the issues in Syria before, having sent a message to the children there, telling them not to lose hope.
“The world is with you. We care about you. I am with you,” he says in the video message.
In the past he’s also donated a reported sum of £5million to the Nepal aid effort, in order to help survivors of the devastating earthquake which hit the Asian country two years ago.
